MSN Money – Wanted: private eye with licence to spy on US corporate leaders on behalf of activist hedge fund.
The unusual job advert, which appeared on a popular New York website, is set to spoil the Christmas celebrations of many chief executives of underperforming companies.
For they now know Chapman Capital, a Los Angeles-based corporate agitator, could soon supplement traditional financial analysis with an up-close and personal look at their private lives.
The ad seeks an investigator to “conduct both clandestine and covert intelligence operations to track movements of public company executives . . . to gain deep intel of how their behaviour and actions may be affecting the company’s Wall Street performance”.
