Reuters – Kelso Place Asset Management said on Tuesday it had closed its third fund, having received total commitments of 100 million pounds.
The Kelso Place UK Special Situations Fund aims to make a small number of investments to UK-based companies in any sector, making investments in any single transaction of up to 20 million pounds.
Private equity firms, fuelled by strong demand for this asset class, have raised a record $300 billion (161 billion pounds) in new funding worldwide this year, higher than for all of 2005.
