Stamford Advocate – Gov. M. Jodi Rell has offered the state’s help in job placement to keep the hundreds of high-skilled workers at Greenwich’s moribund Amaranth Advisors hedge fund firm in Connecticut.
Yesterday, Rell assigned Barbara Fernandez, director of the Office of Insurance and Financial Services at the state’s Department of Economic and Community Development, to serve as a direct point of contact for Amaranth and its displaced employees.
