{"id":4790,"date":"2006-07-28T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2006-07-28T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T04:00:00","slug":"man-group-buys-stake-in-eurex-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.hedgeco.net\/news\/07\/2006\/man-group-buys-stake-in-eurex-us.html","title":{"rendered":"Man Group buys stake in Eurex US"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MSN MoneyCentral -Man Group, the hedge fund manager and futures broker, signalled one of boldest attempts yet by hedge funds to enter the derivatives exchange business by taking a 70 per cent stakein Eurex US on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>  Eurex US was launched in 2002 by Deutsche B\u00c3\u0192\u00c2\u00b6rse in an attempt to wrest market share in US Treasury bond futures from the Chicago Board of Trade.<\/p>\n<p>  But the effort failed, leaving Eurex US with negligible trading activity in its rump foreign exchange futures products.
