{"id":4753,"date":"2006-07-20T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2006-07-20T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T04:00:00","slug":"cma-raises-402-mln-usd-in-uk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.hedgeco.net\/news\/07\/2006\/cma-raises-402-mln-usd-in-uk.html","title":{"rendered":"CMA raises 402 million USD in UK"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Forbes &#8211; <span class=\"mainarttxt\">CMA Global Hedge, a fund of hedge funds, said it raised 402 mln usd through its initial public offering, the second-biggest stock market flotation by a financialservices company in the UK so far this year after Standard Life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"mainarttxt\">The proceeds, which are equivalent to the group&#8217;s market capitalisation, will be reinvested in a range of hedge funds worldwide.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"mainarttxt\">CMA plans to issue shares denominated in dollars, euros and pounds sterling, priced at 10 usd, 10 eur, and 10 stg respectively, with trading expected to start on July24.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"mainarttxt\">CMA, which has been operating since 1998, said it is going public in anticipation of growing demand for exposure to hedge funds by retail and institutional investors.
