Cayman Net News – dms Management Ltd recently announced that Roger Hanson has joined the firm as Director, and said this would further strengthen the company’s high level of expertise asindependent directors of offshore hedge funds.<\/p>\n
A recognized leader in the Cayman hedge fund industry, Mr. Hanson was previously the Regional Manager (North American & Caribbean) for Fortis Prime Fund Solutions, a leading global provider offund administration, banking and financial services to the hedge fund industry with over US $135 billion in assets under administration.<\/p>\n
At Fortis, he directed the operations, compliance and commercial activities of four offices in three countries. Before joining Fortis, he served as an auditor with Ernst & Young, Cayman Islandsand Deloitte Haskins and Sells, Birmingham, England.<\/p>\n
Mr. Hanson has served as a director to several notable hedge funds and is a founding member and Executive Committee member of the Cayman Islands Fund Administrators Association. He is also a memberof the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.<\/p>\n
