Now This?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Slate &#8211; Hedge funds, those investment vehicles for institutions and the very wealthy that have enjoyed explosive growth in recent years, are breaking out into popular culture. Early this year came<em><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0471771910\/\">Hedgehogging<\/a><\/em>, a tell-some memoir by veteran Wall Streeter Barton Biggs. At last week&#8217;s <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hedgestock.co.uk\/2006\/\">Hedgestock<\/a> in England, hedge-fund managers tried to let their hair down in a summer-of-love-style festival, complete with a concert by the Who.<\/p>\n<p>  And last night, a new play about hedge funds debuted off-Broadway. And, no, it&#8217;s not <em>Katz<\/em>, or <em>Greenwich Boys<\/em>, or <em>The Silk Pajama Game<\/em>. It&#8217;s <a target=\"_blank\" href=  \"http:\/\/www.burleighgrimes.com\/\"><em>Burleigh Grime$<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>  The title character of the show, by Roger Kirby, with music by David Yazbek (<em>The Full Monty<\/em>, <em>Dirty Rotten Scoundrels<\/em>), is named after a <a target=\"_blank\" href=  \"http:\/\/www.baseballhalloffame.org\/hofers_and_honorees\/hofer_bios\/Grimes_Burleigh.htm\">Hall of Fame baseball pitcher known for throwing legal spitballs<\/a>.
