{"id":4340,"date":"2006-04-28T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2006-04-28T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T04:00:00","slug":"morgan-stanley-hires-exec-from-uk-hedge-fund-cqs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.hedgeco.net\/news\/04\/2006\/morgan-stanley-hires-exec-from-uk-hedge-fund-cqs.html","title":{"rendered":"Morgan Stanley hires exec from UK hedge fund CQS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Reuters &#8211; Christopher Carter, chairman of hedge fund CQS, is to join Morgan Stanley (MS.N: <a href=\"http:\/\/today.reuters.com\/stocks\/overview.aspx?symbol=MS.N\">Quote<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/today.reuters.com\/stocks\/CompanyProfile.aspx?symbol=MS.N\">Profile<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/today.reuters.com\/stocks\/ResearchReports.aspx?symbol=MS.N\">Research<\/a>) as vice chairman ofinstitutional securities, the U.S.-based bank said on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>  Carter, who became chairman of CQS last November, has more than 30 years experience in investment banking.<\/p>\n<p>  Before joining CQS, a big London-based hedge fund, he spent 19 years at Credit Suisse (CSGN.VX: <a href=\"http:\/\/today.reuters.com\/stocks\/overview.aspx?symbol=CSGN.VX\">Quote<\/a>, <a href=  \"http:\/\/today.reuters.com\/stocks\/CompanyProfile.aspx?symbol=CSGN.VX\">Profile<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/today.reuters.com\/stocks\/ResearchReports.aspx?symbol=CSGN.VX\">Research<\/a>) in a series of senior  posts, including chairman of Europe and chairman of global investment banking.
