WEST PALM BEACH, FL (HEDGECO.NET) – Reacting to investor demands for hedge fund products, Zurich International Life has launched its own hedge fund of funds, the new strategy targets non-UK investorsaccording to the released statements. For some time Zurich investors have demanded hedge fund vehicles, due to the popularity of such products.<\/p>\n
The launching of the Zurich International European Absolute Fund and Zurich International Global Absolute Fund is in line with such demands. The new portfolios would be actively managed by HSBC Republic Investments, according to the statement. Such product is also aimed at investors who are interested in diversifying their investments. Both strategies would be denominated in both the Euros as well as the US dollars.<\/p>\n
Zurich International has a wide array of distribution channels and the new launched funds would also be available through Zurich International Life\u00c3\u00af\u00c2\u00bf\u00c2\u00bds full range of individual and corporate products according to the statements The advantages of fund of hedge funds, in addition to providing diversification are that such products are able to invest in a wide variety of managers as well as products.<\/p>\n
Commenting on the new products, Mark Goodman, the director of distribution at Zurich International Life said, \u00c3\u00af\u00c2\u00bf\u00c2\u00bdThe new funds allow investors access to hedge funds without the risks associated with some single strategy funds. The two new funds fit in our range between traditional equity and bond funds and we expect investors will use these funds to reduce their portfolio volatility whilst remaining invested in real assets.\u00c3\u00af\u00c2\u00bf\u00c2\u00bd<\/p>\n
